Scholarships
Two scholarships are currently available:
Dance Southland Scholarship 2010
Aurora Scholarship 2011/2012
This scholarship, of up to $2000.00 is provided annually by Mr Russell Fowler, for a dancer or group of dancers to further their dancing ambitions.
The focus of this scholarship is to provide funding that will enhance the ability of talented dancers from Southland by enabling them to look for opportunities to further their training or experience. They will then be able to share the experiences they have gained with other dancers and so enrich the dancing world of Southland.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, dancers must be current, paid up members of Dance Southland Inc.
Applicants are required to submit a detailed outline of the course/training/school or otherwise that they are hoping to attend and their reasons for wishing to attend this training. A detailed summary of the costs (travel, accommodation, course or tuition fees, special requirements such as uniform etc) is also required.
Applicants for 2011/2012 are asked to submit their applications on the specified application form no later than December 15th 2011. Application forms can be downloaded from this web site using the link at the bottom of this page and then posted to:

Mr Russell Fowler and Mrs Denise Stevens will meet to consider the requests. In the event of a shortlist being drawn up, applicants may be requested to attend an interview.

Dance Southland Scholarship 2010
